Recycling Operator, part time, lates and / or weekend

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us. We are looking for someone to run the recycling plant. You would be solely responsible for processing our segregated waste plastics (which include things like buckets, wheelie bins, manufacturers scrap, crates, etc) and granulating them to a regrind.

This is a very responsible role and a great opportunity for an individual to make a real difference in a very small company. The job involves feeding plastic for recycling onto the conveyor to the granulator or tipping into the shredder. You will be moving materials from the yard to the unit and into the machinery, keeping production running smoothly and efficiently, at key operational levels (often one tonne per hour), changing bags of finished product and weighing and marking. There are also some very basic paperwork requirements. A FLT license would be of real benefit.

You will need to be used to physical work.

The successful candidate will be required to work 16 hours each week, with the real possibility of extra work when customer demand increases. Hours can be to suit, but outside of the day shift (which is 09.30 - 16.00). The pay rate is dependent upon matching skill set, experience level (although not necessarily in the recycling industry), and hours.
