Full Job Description

A unique opportunity has become available for a registered manager to join a well established team within Coed Du Hall Ltd. The role will be overseeing the day to day running of a 4 bed residential service supporting younger adults to achieve their desired outcomes in Mold, Flintshire. The successful candidate will become part of a larger multi-disciplinary team and will receive ongoing, consistent support to maintain the high standards already in place at the service. You will be joining a large organisation where robust processes and procedures are already in place, and will be fully supported to become familiar with these.,

  • To take overall responsibility for the management of the service, delegating responsibility and accountability where appropriate.

  • Manage the establishment and ensure staffing numbers meet the needs of the service users, ensuring appropriate skill mix and numbers in compliance with agreed staffing establishment and budget.

  • To develop, review all policies and procedures and ensure all staff comply.

  • Investigate poor practice and develop and deliver actions and activity to improve performance.

  • Be part of a team to manage the on call arrangements for the home, ensuring comprehensive cover and response to out of hour's requirements.

  • To ensure consistency in daily staff management and adherence to policies and procedures, ensuring all staff report for duty as required, monitoring and managing sickness and attendance.

  • Act as a mentor and positive role model to all staff under your supervision, providing effective and efficient leadership skills.

  • Actively support the multidisciplinary team in the assessment of residents.

  • The registered manager is expected to carry out all activities that will enable the service user to meet the outcomes identified in the care plans, and lead the team to deliver the highest standards of care.

  • Coordinate and lead discussion with external professionals in relation to commissioning of services, delivery of services and standards of care. Maintain professionalism that upholds the principles, philosophies and values of the organisation.

  • Ensure a comprehensive programme of training, support, supervision and appraisal is delivered to all staff in line with the organisations policies and procedures.

  • Promote and deliver activity that supports rehabilitation, non aversive interventions and antecedent control.

  • The post holder will deliver effective and professional communications to multi and interdisciplinary teams across a range of services, settings and professions.

  • The registered manager will delegate activity to junior staff, ensuring they have the knowledge, skills and experience to deliver high standards of care.

  • Lead and implement a system of clinical effectiveness that ensures the provision and delivery of care is increasingly driven by evidence of effectiveness provided by applying the best available knowledge, derived from research, National Guidance, clinical expertise and patient centred care to achieve the optimum outcomes for residents.
