General/Position Summary
As part of Vertex's International Revenue Accounting Team, the Revenue Operations Co-Ordinator, is responsible for supporting Vertex International's Order to Cash (O2C) Operations. Partnering with our outsourced Order to Cash providers (3PLs), the Revenue Accounting O2C Operations team, Supply Chain and Regional Teams, to effectively support regional sales management across the International business.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
For a number of Vertex companies, currently covering Europe, LATAM, Middle East and Australia:

  • Partner with our outsourced O2C provider with the effective and timely set-up of new customer accounts. Maintenance of existing customer accounts, to include credit assessment and review of customer data for completeness and accuracy to support invoicing

  • Support outsourced provider with customer query resolution, engaging Vertex stakeholders as necessary to ensure timely response within defined SLAs

  • Support with the review and set-up of new supply arrangements and policies for country and product expansion. To include but not limited to:


  • Set-up of new country and product master data with outsourced provider and internal Oracle ERP, including pricing, credit policy

  • Create invoices and maintain customer master data

  • Review of current policies and procedures, and development and implementation of changes as necessary to support the change in business

  • Communicate price updates to the O2C providers as and when necessary


  • Analytical review to support informed decision making by management, and development and monitoring of SLAs and KPIs to drive increased 3PL and internal performance

  • Support the review of internal and outsourced procedures to find areas for continuous improvement. Identifying areas for improvement and supporting the development, implementation and management of the new processes.

  • Support the performance of analytics to track sales performance and reporting in making decisions on order management and cash forecasts

  • Support the month-end accounting close process, to include but not limited to, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations as required for AR and Bad Debt, work with outsourced provider to support proof of delivery review requirements

  • Support ad-hoc project requirements from the business

  • Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for internal and external process controls, working with the Revenue Accounting Team to identify areas for process improvement

  • Preparation of documentation to support key O2C SOX requirements and to manage and respond to audit requests for both SOX and statutory audits

  • Assist with internal and external audit queries

    Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or related field

  • Good Excel skills; Experience of Oracle Business Intelligence and data visualization tools an advantage

  • Experience in a multinational pharmaceutical / BioTech environment an advantage

  • Experience of working in a multinational company, a pharmaceutical / BioTech background an advantage

  • European language an advantage

  • Progress toward professional accounting designation/certification in applicable country (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA)
