Full Job Description
- Protecting company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Observing for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Acting lawfully in direct defence of life or property
- Apprehend criminals and evict violators
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and gates
- Watch video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
- Perform first aid or CPR if trained to do so
- Any other duties as directed by the Events Operations Manager or other member of the management team
Proven work experience as a Security Guard or relevant position - Trained security officer with diploma (preferable)
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment (preferable)
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation
- Integrity and professionalism
- High school degree
- High standard of personal presentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident and outgoing personality and an ability to interact with people at all levels
- Courteous and pleasant attitude towards guests and colleagues
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
