Senior Java Developer

You will play a pivotal role in this transformation and investment in a new, hypergrowth technology platform, leading and inspiring a squad of Junior Java Developers to deliver innovative solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

Application Development:

• Architect and develop Microservices-based applications ensuring high performance, security and scalability.


• Collaborate with customer and vendor agile engineering teams.


• Be a player manager demonstrating competence and bet practice to your team.


Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead, mentor and coach a squad of four Junior Java Developers.


• Take ownership of team deliverables while managing your own tasks effectively.


Integration and Collaboration:

• Work closely with the wider technology and product teams, ensuring a seamless system functionality for newly engineered capability with the platforms.
  
  Minimum of 5 years of Java Development experience.


• Proficiency in technologies and frameworks such as Java, Multi-threaded Applications, Spring Boot, Unit testing & mocking, Redis (ideally in Java), JMeter, MongoDB and familiarity with Cloud platforms.


• Knowledge of modern software development practices, including CI/CD, automated testing and DevOps.


• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a development team.


• Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
