Social / Academic Tutor

Extra info: This learner was living in a foster home in Kent but has moved across to Oxfordshire where he will be living in a foster home very soon. He is staying at his Aunt & Uncles in Upper Hayford for the time being but will move to Aston in the next coming weeks, so we are looking for a tutor who can travel to both locations. He is currently receiving online social mentoring with us but we need a tutor who can begin in person sessions ASAP.

This young man struggles greatly with his anxiety and confidence, so leaving the house is an obstacle we need the educator to help with. General academic re-engagement and tuition across core subjects is required (the level he is working at will be confirmed/ need to be identified). He has strong interests in cooking, music and especially cars/motors so these topics should be incorporated into day-to-day learning/schedule with the educator. There is also an opportunity for the AP sessions to take place onsite at a car garage that he is going to gain work experience through from September but this is TBC.
The objective is to improve his social confidence through project based learning that focuses on covering functional skills as well as incorporating active "days out" to improve social anxiety. EHCP will be provided before the tuition begins to the tutor identified.
