Full Job Description

The role will involve assisting the Family team in providing legal guidance and advice to existing clients and engage in new business development activities.,

  • Acting for family law clients on a wide range of legal issues with a particular emphasis on mid to high net worth financial remedy cases, cohabitation/TOLATA cases and private children cases. No Legal aid.

  • Act with honesty and integrity, as stipulated in the SRA Handbook and Code of Conduct.

  • Maintaining the level of competence and knowledge to practice efficiently by keeping abreast with changes and developments in the law.

  • Identifying, interpreting and applying the relevant legal principles.

  • Analysing problems, highlighting areas of risk and thinking critically to resolve issues.

  • Undertaking legal research when required.

  • Maintaining continued professional development, attending training courses were necessary.

  • Dealing promptly with correspondence and client enquiries.

  • Training Junior Fee Earners.

  • Recording for charged hours of work.

  • Cost effective handling of matters.

    Qualified Solicitor or MCILEX / FCILEX with relevant experience in the field.

  • Ability to manage complex caseloads, prioritise workloads and work under pressure.

  • Ability to communicate confidently with both clients and all department levels across the Firm.

  • Must be computer literate.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy is essential.

  • Must be able to work as part of a team as well as using own initiative.

  • Ability to provide support and guidance to junior members of the team, with the assistance of senior members.

We are currently looking for a Solicitor to Associate to join our Family team to assist with its varied and quality workload from a diverse client base.   • 35 hour working week - Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to a maximum of 30 days for additional years of service)
