The post has key functions:
+ Day to day operational management of Care of the Elderly & Stroke services.
+ Professional lead for the administrative function in your specialty and Line management for the Administration Team manager
+ Leading on service development and driving delivery of the specialty vision
+ Ensuring that we have the right workforce to deliver safe, high-quality care for our patients.
+ Responsibility for delegated budgets and identifying and implementing cost improvement opportunities.
+ Leading on governance, quality and patient safety ensuring that complaints, incidents, and risks are managed in line with Trust policy.
+ Working at part of the Multidisciplinary team to ensure all capacity is fully utilised.
+ Participating in Silver Rota duties for the Weston Site., the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. The Weston Management Team is seeking a bright, talented individual to fill the role of Specialty Manager for the Care of the Elderly & Stroke services. This is a Permanent position and would be a great opportunity for either an established service manager looking to broaden their experience, or for someone looking to develop their skills and career working as part of a supportive and well-established team.
The post holder will manage the day to day operational aspects of service delivery, with a focus on achieving and monitoring performance standards and delivering service improvements as well as leading on the development and delivery of business plans with the specialty.
You will need to have strong inter-personal skills; you will be able to work as part of a team as well as demonstrating the ability to be able to work independently, with some previous management experience. Being able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people is essential.
