Full Job Description

Fandom is growing! Our Sr Manager Accounting opportunity is based in UK and reports to our Director Finance.

This is a Manager level position responsible for all of the company's financial and administration operations in the United Kingdom. As a member of the management team, this position will help shape the company's overall vision and business plans, and assist the rest of the management team in any way to ensure that the company successfully executes its plans as it relates to Focus Multimedia Ltd. and Fandom-UK, Ltd. operating units. Provide overall leadership in Financial matters of Fandom's UK subsidiaries, including budgeting, planning, systems integration and reporting.,

  • Ensure financial and regulatory compliance (stat audits, corporate and indirect tax filings, business filings, etc) for two UK entities

  • Manage 2 accounting staff members. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

  • Oversight of books and records in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures, including the administration and configuration of underlying financial reporting software. Maintain the General Ledger for all UK subsidiaries

  • Design and implement procedures and processes over financial reporting that meet audit standards, improve efficiency, and meet the goals of the organization

  • Support US consolidated needs with respect to financial data integrity, and financial data reporting, and global compliance

  • Work cross functionally to assist with budgeting, financial reporting and other business needs

  • Perform monthly closing process

  • Analyze and reconcile monthly general ledger accounts to supporting documentation

  • Maintain the fixed asset ledger - identifying those assets owned by the company and those collateralized by lease lines and other bank financing

  • Budgeting & Planning - Assist in the preparation of and monitor the company's actual performance against the current budget and business plan

  • Treasury - Maintain the cash records for all UK subsidiaries, reconcile all cash accounts with bank provided information, including credit card transactions with reports from those agencies.

  • Revenue - Ensure timely billing and invoicing of all revenue and proper accounting treatment as for all UK subsidiaries policy on revenue recognition.

  • Contracts management - Review contracts with vendors. Ensure consistency and compliance with company policies.

  • Reporting and tax compliance - Insure timely reporting of monthly financial information to the parent company. Ensure timely reporting of all taxes with the appropriate authorities.

    experience managing audits, and financial-related vendor relationships required

  • experience in ecommerce a plus

  • experience managing financial software a plus

  • experience with either IFRS / US GAAP a plus

  • experience with financial statement consolidation a plus

  • experience with global indirect tax compliance a plus

  • CMA or equivalent required

  • bachelor's degree or higher required

  • 10+ years experience, including at least 4 in management positions required
