Full Job Description

An essential part of the role is supporting individuals in their home and the community.

The ability to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools and systems is essential. Our staff team support individuals to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their rooms, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, and administration of medication and having fun.

We encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting individuals with day-to-day life.

Where will you work:

We provide support to people in the community through outreach support across Central Bedfordshire - Leighton Buzzard, Dunstable, Buckinghamshire - Woburn Sands and Cublington and Luton., As a support worker, you will be supporting someone in their own home and supporting a number of people per day. Building relationships with people who need your support with their mobility, eating, drinking or personal care. Other duties could include helping with meal preparation, household chores, administering medication, managing finances, accessing community facilities, going shopping, meeting friends, visiting doctors or providing general emotional support.

Experience is essential and we are looking for applicants to have the right values and mindset to support people . We support people with differing support needs and require an individual approach to their care. They may have learning disabilities, medical conditions or physical disabilities that require monitoring and recording so you must have good written and communication skills.,

  • Holding a full driving license to drive a car, access to your own vehicle to enable you to commute to work.

  • Supporting people to access the community.

  • Willingness to learn

  • Working within a rota to provide support across the 24 hours of support we provide.


  • Desirable Experience:
  • Experience within the care sector with a vocational qualification in health and social care., GCSE or equivalent (preferred)


  • Language:
  • English (required)


  • Licence/Certification:
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
