Atherton High School wishes to appoint a hardworking, engaging and committed MFL Teacher. If you are, experienced, enthusiastic, open to new ideas and have a flexible 'can do' approach, we would welcome an application from you. This role would also be fitting for an exceptional ECT looking to embark on their career within a nurturing, cooperative, and innovative team environment.

This full-time, permanent position presents a fantastic opportunity for either a newly qualified or experienced teacher proficient in French and Spanish. We seek an individual who is passionate about instilling a passion for Modern Foreign Languages and attaining outstanding results for students. The role entails teaching both French and Spanish, up to Key Stage 4.

What does this job do?

  • To assist in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, marking policies and teaching strategies in the subject area.

  • To contribute to the subject area's Development Plan and its implementation.

  • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.

  • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor.

  • To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
