Full Job Description

The role reports to the sales manager with the intention to introduce the range of Northern Lights Generators in the marine leisure and commercial vessel markets. The candidate will be expected to travel to customers in the UK mainland and Ireland, attend exhibitions, trade shows, conferences where necessary.

Key targets will be:

· Commercial marine operators, boat builders and designers / naval architects.

· Leisure marine boat builders, designers / naval architects, superyacht management companies.

Primary roles will be to:

1) Generate sales enquiries from own efforts, using current company data, trade shows etc.

2) Take sales from enquiry, specification, design through to sale and installation.

3) Promote new unit and replacement sales, spare part sales and after-market services.

4) Provide a learning support to the Sales Manager.

Additional roles may include:

Ø Northern Lights air conditioning systems

Ø Aventics control systems

Ø Additional sales avenues of Northern Lights products to non-marine applications.

We are looking for an experienced sales representative with demonstrable experience in marine propulsion and generator power.

PME Group specialise in providing power and propulsion systems primarily to the marine vessel market. We are looking for a sales professional who thrives on making an impact and who wants the excitement of being on the team that wins with the best products to the market under their belt.

With the launch into the UK and Ireland of a new product range this is the opportunity to make your mark showcasing your ability to build a loyal customer base and ultimately drive revenue.

Along with proven sales expertise you will also have some marine technical/engineering experience in the background for ballast.

Our sales team is small but beautifully formed and we envisage the potential for career progression from this role for the right person.,

  • 3-5 years' experience in Marine industry sales experience

  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft package for windows environment

  • Self-Motivated

  • Must have excellent communication skills, professional presence, and proven track record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships

  • Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask & work under pressure

  • Must always maintain confidentiality on applicable matters

  • Willingness to travel 50%
