TRANSPORT PLANNER

To plan/coordinate and support Transport activities at Thurrock Site. Maintains Safety, Quality, Service, Cost & Productivity performance to ensure all objectives are met.,

• To plan/coordinate a safe & efficient day to day transport operation for Exeter Site.


• To support the management of all drivers ensuring they are effectively managed within the framework of ASD's policies & procedures; particularly relating to Health & Safety, traffic legislation, training, time keeping, absence control, discipline & compliance.


• To support the management of the Company's legal responsibilities in regard of road transport operations, employment law & environmental, health & safety legislation are fully complied with.


• Ensures quality procedures are followed & NCRs raised as applicable.


• Monitors efficiency of transport operation & drives performance improvement. Ensures KPI's are kept up to date, initiates & tracks improvement actions.


• To supports the deployment & sustainment of Ten Commandments; particularly number 5, "Efficient Transport".


• Ensures customer requirements are satisfied by making sure that activities are correctly prioritised & resourced


• Delivers training to vehicle drivers as required.


• Communication and relationship building with Commercial Teams as to Transport requirements


• Driver Holiday Management


• Raising of POs for Transport suppliers eg Driver Agency, 3rd Party Transport Providers etc
