Full Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice to work for Ranger Caradoc as a welder and general warehouse operative. We appreciate this is a training position so the candidate will have limited understanding to begin, but there will be continued professional development and training. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who aspires to learn a valued and essential trade.
-The candidate will be using various engineering equipment including welding, milling, drilling, testing and dispatching of hydraulic cylinders and components.
-The ideal candidate will be independent, yet able to be part of a small team.
-Able to assimilate components from engineering drawings.
-Able to follow instruction and work to an accurate high standard. To be willing to learn new skills, assisting throughout the factory to ensure the workload is completed in a good timely manner.

  • A qualification in accordance with one of the following standards: ISO 9606 / ASME IX / BS4872 / AWS D1.1, determined by the employer. N.B. These qualifications are regarded as licences to practice in welding.

  • L2 Functional Skills in English and maths if required., Analytical skills, Attention to detail, Communication skills, Creative, Customer care skills, Initiative, IT skills, Logical, Non judgemental, Number skills, Organisation skills, Presentation skills, Problem solving skills, Team working, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) Desired

  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) Desired
